When my youngest child began showing signs of a serious neurodevelopmental problem a friend encouraged me to journal. I was crippled with fear and some days felt overwhelming sadness. I didn’t pick up that pen because I was so fragile that I was afraid that someone would read my words and not recognize me.

I know that my experiences are personal, but I believe that we all can learn from one another, even if we aren’t facing the same challenges. So, here’s┬áto solidarity. Here’s to putting yourself out there and feeling brave enough to share this wild ride.
