Why?

When my youngest child began showing signs of a serious neurodevelopmental problem a friend encouraged me to journal. I was crippled with fear and some days felt overwhelming sadness. I didn’t pick up that pen because I was so fragile that I was afraid that someone would read my words and not recognize me.

I know that my experiences are personal, but I believe that we all can learn from one another, even if we aren’t facing the same challenges. So, here’s to solidarity. Here’s to putting yourself out there and feeling brave enough to share this wild ride.
